Senior Ocean Procurement Officer

About the role

The Senior Ocean Procurement Officer will support the Trade Manager in managing ocean freight rates, contracts and carrier relationships across DP World’s global network. This role ensures competitive pricing, resolves operational issues and contributes to the overall performance of key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Rate & Contract Management – maintain valid, competitive carrier rates and circulate details internally.
• RFQ Execution – assist the Trade Manager in completing ocean RFQs with accurate pricing and structural information.
• Daily Queries Follow‑up – handle rate queries, address space constraints and resolve disputes with ocean carriers.
• Business Award Management – prepare sell & buy rate contracts and allocate carriers after award decisions.
• Customer Performance Tracking – support monitoring of key account volume commitments through performance reports.
• Carrier Performance Management – collaborate on preparing materials for carrier review meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in international freight forwarding, preferably in ocean procurement or pricing.
• Experience with intra‑Asia, Asia‑ISC, Asia‑ME/RS, Asia‑Africa, TPEB or EUWB routes is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
