Director of Integrated Business Planning & Planning Excellence

About the role

The Director of Integrated Business Planning & Planning Excellence will lead the global S&OP/IBP process, ensuring a reliable, fact‑based planning framework that aligns sales, supply, inventory, finance and operations. Based in Hong Kong, the role involves close collaboration with regional teams and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly S&OP/IBP calendar, including Demand Review, Supply & Inventory Review, pre‑S&OP and Executive S&OP sessions.
• Develop and maintain a single consensus demand plan using statistical and judgmental forecasting methods.
• Translate demand forecasts into clear supply, capacity and inventory requirements, identifying constraints and supporting allocation decisions.
• Define and standardise planning processes, KPIs, master‑data requirements and exception‑management across regions and legal entities.
• Act as business process owner for planning, defining SAP S/4HANA requirements and supporting design, testing and user adoption.
• Establish transparent performance reporting for forecast accuracy, bias, plan adherence, inventory health and service risk.
• Lead cross‑functional decision‑making with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Logistics and IT.
• Build and develop a high‑performing planning team, fostering discipline and capability across the organisation.

Required profile

• University degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance, analytics or a related field.
• Significant leadership experience in demand planning, supply‑chain planning, S&OP or IBP within a multi‑country consumer, FMCG or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to standardise fragmented planning processes across regions and functions.
• Strong operational credibility and hands‑on experience with S&OP/IBP cycles.
