Social Media Manager

About the role

Gate, a global cryptocurrency exchange, is looking for a hands‑on Social Media Manager to own its social presence end‑to‑end. You will shape strategy, create engaging content, and lead a small team while collaborating closely with content, operations, and partnership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage Gate’s presence on X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, Telegram and other platforms.
• Lead and develop a team of two social media specialists.
• Build and maintain a social content calendar, coordinating with internal stakeholders on campaigns, announcements and partnerships.
• Write and edit on‑brand copy in English and Mandarin that resonates with crypto audiences.
• Design and execute growth strategies, track performance metrics and iterate quickly.
• Stay ahead of trending topics, memes and narratives across crypto‑focused social channels and activate them in real time.
• Analyze platform algorithms and performance data (impressions, engagement, reach) to continuously optimise output.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of social media experience, preferably at a major crypto exchange.
• Native or near‑native English proficiency and Mandarin fluency.
• Deep knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and active participation in English and Chinese crypto communities.
• Experience managing or mentoring team members; a personal account with a built‑in following is a plus.
• Strong instincts for fast, creative, data‑informed social content.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and collaborative work style.
