Software Engineer – Python & C++ for Front‑Office Trading

About the role

Join a leading global proprietary trading firm as a Software Engineer, building mission‑critical trading and risk applications for APAC desks. You will work directly with traders and quantitative researchers, turning ideas into production‑grade tools that support multiple markets and asset classes.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑performance trading and risk systems using Python and C++.
• Create tools for position management, intraday risk, reporting and research.
• Automate trading workflows, reconciliation processes and operational controls.
• Deliver data solutions spanning diverse markets, exchanges and asset classes.
• Adapt global platforms to meet APAC‑specific trading requirements.
• Collaborate closely with traders and researchers to implement practical solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of systems from design through deployment and production support.

Required profile

• Strong Python development skills complemented by meaningful C++ experience.
• 1–7 years of software engineering experience.
• Front‑office technology experience within a trading firm, hedge fund, investment bank or market maker.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design.
• Experience with financial data, real‑time systems or analytical platforms.
• Ability to work directly with traders and understand commercial priorities.
• Excellent communication, curiosity and an ownership‑driven mindset.
