Specialist, Product Costing

About the role

The Specialist, Product Costing will join Hasbro’s Global Category Sourcing team to drive cost transparency and optimization across assigned product categories. You will work closely with brand teams, product development, industrial engineering, and sourcing to deliver accurate cost estimates and support strategic sourcing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and execute the Global Sourcing Strategy and supply‑network redesign at a regional level.
• Provide “Should Be” cost estimates for new product development, refreshes, and carry‑forward items.
• Apply and continuously refine cost models using the latest factory rates and competitive benchmarks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional project teams (Product Development, Quality, Finance, Planning) to ensure cost visibility at key milestones.
• Lead the costing process, manage supplier quote submissions, negotiate rates, and upload data into Hasbro costing systems.
• Offer technical support to suppliers on costing platforms such as P2M, PQS, and E‑connect.
• Serve as the primary contact for all product‑costing issues between Hasbro and its suppliers.
• Conduct annual rate negotiations with assigned suppliers and partner with Supplier Performance Managers on cost‑related initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in product costing or cost modeling.
• Proven ability to work in a global, cross‑functional environment and communicate effectively.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing cost data.
• Familiarity with supply‑chain processes and sourcing strategies.
