Structural Design Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

The role involves working within the ABWF Design Team to deliver structural design solutions for building and civil engineering projects, primarily in the hospital and building sector.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a team of engineers, designers and coordinators to produce design deliverables.
• Act as the primary point of contact with project teams on design matters.
• Prepare drawings, sketches and reports for the ABWF Design Team.
• Review drawings and coordinate with architectural and building services disciplines.
• Address design queries, raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and support shop‑drawing reviews.
• Review and support temporary works designs and liaise with the construction team on constructability.
• Utilise design‑management tools to track, report and monitor progress of design packages.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience on hospital or building projects.
• Knowledge and experience of temporary works design.
• Proficiency in Revit and other BIM software.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese.
