Systems Administrator – Hong Kong

About the role

This is a hands‑on, office‑based Systems Administrator position supporting a global quantitative investment business in Hong Kong. You will combine direct user support with infrastructure administration, troubleshooting and project work while collaborating with global colleagues and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in‑person support for PC hardware, peripherals, software deployments, mobile‑device management, videoconferencing, AV equipment and trading‑floor technology.
• Perform occasional data‑centre tasks and assist with hardware maintenance.
• Work with global teams and vendors to diagnose and resolve technical and non‑technical issues.
• Support Windows PCs and servers, UNIX servers, mobile devices and communications infrastructure.
• Investigate complex problems, administer infrastructure‑level systems and contribute to automation and efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365.
• Practical experience across hardware, software, desk‑side, trading‑floor, AV and conferencing support.
• Strong research and analytical skills with a curiosity for solving unfamiliar problems.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational abilities.
• Availability on‑site Monday‑Friday, with occasional overtime, weekend work and travel to Singapore or Shanghai.
• Mandarin proficiency is preferred for interaction with regional stakeholders.
