Technical Engineer – Thermal Solutions

About the role

The Technical Engineer will support Vertiv's thermal solutions business by delivering HVAC design proposals, leading pre‑sales activities and ensuring successful on‑site testing and commissioning of cooling systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive HVAC/air‑conditioning design proposals, engineering drawings (AutoCAD) and competitive tender submissions.
• Participate in technical pre‑sales activities, attend customer inquiries and tender interviews, and deliver product presentations to consultants and clients.
• Oversee on‑site testing and commissioning, manage installation schedules and track progress using MS Project.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests with clients to validate equipment performance prior to site deployment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC or cooling engineering, preferably within an engineering consulting firm.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with MS Project for schedule management.
