Technician – Gas Systems and Plant Maintenance

About the role

Green Valley Landfill Limited, a joint venture with Veolia Hong Kong & Macau, manages the South East New Territories (SENT) Landfill and its extension, focusing on sustainable waste management and converting landfill gas into electricity, fuel and synthetic natural gas. It is looking for a technician in Tseung Kwan O to look after plant operations and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day plant operation and maintenance
• Monitor and record the operation of the gas collection system
• Operate system equipment and tidy up the plant area
• Carry out preventive and simple maintenance activities and assist with basic equipment repairs
• Help deal with emergency incidents and faults

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma, or a diploma or certificate in chemical, mechanical, electrical or marine engineering
• At least 1 year of experience in oil gas, coal gas or other gas-related work
• Good safety awareness and communication skills
• Fluent Cantonese, simple English and Mandarin

Required skills

• Registered gas fitter licence (Category 1-8)
• Valid boiler plate and vehicle licence (preferred)
• Work permit (required)
