Testing Technical Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Testing Technical Lead to design, configure, execute and optimise performance testing solutions using BlazeMeter, and to embed automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines. The role will drive adoption of AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and will mentor the testing team to deliver high‑quality software across Azure‑hosted applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain performance testing scenarios, scripts and environments with BlazeMeter, and provide analysis and recommendations.
• Integrate unit, integration, UI/API and performance tests into Jenkins and Azure DevOps pipelines, establishing reliable regression flows and quality gates.
• Lead the use of GitHub Copilot and other AI‑coding assistants to accelerate test‑script creation and refactoring.
• Build and evolve scalable UI and API automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured or Postman.
• Collaborate with Azure platform, development and DevOps teams to align environments, embed testing early in the SDLC and promote shift‑left quality.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior testers, review test artefacts and standardise best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex pipeline, environment and performance issues, drive root‑cause resolution and document findings.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects and QA leads to align testing activities with project timelines.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software testing experience with at least 5 years in a technical or lead role.
• Hands‑on expertise with BlazeMeter performance testing, including script creation, configuration, monitoring and reporting.
• Proven experience building Jenkins pipelines and integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.
• Practical knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps (boards, repos, pipelines, test plans).
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding tools for test automation.
• Strong background in UI and API test automation with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured or Postman.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, continuous testing, shift‑left, quality gates, SDLC and Agile/Scrum.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring abilities and effective stakeholder communication.
