Vice President / Director, Corporate Communications (Media Relations & Branding)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to shape and protect our corporate reputation across Greater China. The Vice President/Director will act as the primary liaison with journalists, drive brand strategy, and oversee high‑impact communications initiatives for senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for media, handling inquiries, drafting press releases, and coordinating interviews for executives.
• Maintain and update media contact databases for Hong Kong and Mainland China.
• Write, edit, and translate business‑critical content in English and Chinese, including social media posts, corporate credentials, and CEO messaging.
• Leverage AI‑powered tools to generate, optimise, and repurpose content across multiple platforms.
• Organise media‑training sessions and develop company spokespeople.
• Lead corporate reputational‑risk management and partner with external agencies to monitor coverage.
• Plan and execute corporate events, ensuring alignment with brand strategy.
• Define and enforce consistent brand execution across owned media platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a language‑related field.
• Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin) and Putonghua.
• Minimum 6 years of corporate communications or media‑relations experience, with proven success in Hong Kong and China financial media landscapes.
• Demonstrated expertise in reputational risk management, brand‑building and event planning.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI‑powered content creation and workflow tools.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience using WeChat, LinkedIn and other digital communication platforms.
