Vice President, Financial Institutions Sales (Global Markets)

About the role

MUFG Bank is looking for a Vice President for Financial Institutions Sales within its Global Markets Division in Hong Kong. The role promotes a full range of market products and services, including Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and FICC, to bank and securities clients, working closely with Relationship Managers to develop new business and strengthen existing relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Relationship Managers to identify new business and advise clients on market trends
• Conduct marketing activities, including sharing macroeconomic updates and product details with clients
• Ensure all marketing and sales activities comply with external regulations and internal controls
• Help update departmental policies in line with regulatory changes
• Prepare detailed reports for department heads and local management
• Drive sales performance against revenue targets and other KPIs
• Collaborate with Operations and other departments to ensure smooth transaction execution
• Build stakeholder relationships internally and externally, and create bespoke marketing materials and trade ideas

Required profile

• Substantial experience in the financial sector, ideally at another major bank, with hands-on work on FX, Derivatives and FICC
• Understanding of competitor offerings and of the regulatory framework governing these products
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
• Commitment to regulatory requirements, including licensing qualifications for the Hong Kong market

• Expertise in FX, Derivatives and FICC products
• Ability to interpret local regulations and manage pre-trade and post-trade workflows
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a track record of producing quality marketing materials under tight deadlines
