Vice President, IT Audit

About the role

Our client, a leading international banking group, is seeking a Vice President, IT Audit to lead complex technology audits across the Asia Pacific region. You will partner with senior technology and business stakeholders, shaping the organization’s technology risk oversight and governance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end IT and information security audits across multiple jurisdictions, from planning through issue validation.
• Assess the effectiveness of controls in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, digital banking, payment systems, application controls, IT service management, SDLC, AI and emerging technologies.
• Leverage data analytics to improve audit effectiveness and identify emerging risk trends.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with technology, security and business stakeholders.
• Support regional and global audit initiatives, thematic reviews and strategic transformation projects.
• Contribute to enterprise‑wide risk assessments, continuous monitoring and stay current with regulatory and technology developments.
• Occasional travel within the region as required.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified with professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, CPA, AIGP, AAIA or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT audit, technology risk or information security audit, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of risk management and control frameworks for banking products and services.
• Proven ability to manage audits independently and engage senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, project‑management and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
