Air Import Operations Agent

About the role

Join Expeditors' Aviation Team to manage time‑definite, high‑visibility air import shipments. You will coordinate critical movements from booking through final delivery, ensuring speed, precision, and regulatory compliance while keeping customers informed at every milestone.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor critical air shipments from booking to final delivery, ensuring on‑time performance.
• Proactively manage exceptions and drive rapid problem‑solving with internal teams (operations, brokerage, customer service) and external partners (airlines, handlers, vendors).
• Ensure accurate documentation for customs, security, and dangerous‑goods regulations.
• Provide timely updates to customers and conduct post‑incident reviews to capture learnings.
• Support on‑site customs clearance and service‑provider arrangements.
• Participate in rotational after‑hours/on‑call coverage, including night and holiday shifts.

Required profile

• University graduate with 1‑2 years of relevant experience, or secondary‑school graduate with over 3 years in freight forwarding.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Strong interest in a long‑term career in logistics solutions.
• Good communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Availability to work rotating shifts, including nights.
