Dimsum Chef for 2-Michelin-Star Chinese Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Dimsum Chef to join our 2‑Michelin‑star Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong. The role involves preparing high‑quality dim sum and other Chinese dishes while maintaining the exacting standards of a luxury hospitality brand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, wash and store fresh produce.
• Cook and assemble dim sum and related dishes according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely, ensuring correct temperatures.
• Monitor food quality, test doneness, and ensure proper portioning and plating.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.

Required skills

• Operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation techniques including chopping, portioning, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and temperature control.
