Foreman/Technician (HVAC)

About the role

The Foreman/Technician (HVAC) will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Heating, Ventilation and Air‑Conditioning systems at Cordis Hong Kong. The role ensures that all equipment runs at peak performance, provides rapid emergency technical support, and leads a team of technicians to deliver a high‑standard guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, inspect and maintain hotel HVAC systems, conducting regular checks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Oversee the central plant and engineering facilities, minimizing downtime and delivering swift emergency technical assistance when required.
• Lead and supervise a team of technicians, coordinating routine inspections, repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Valid Registered Electrical Worker (REW) License – Grade A or above, issued by the EMSD.
• Diploma or higher in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in engineering or facilities maintenance, preferably in a hotel or luxury residential environment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift roster of nine‑hour days.

Required skills

• HVAC system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Possession of an REW (Grade A) licence.
• Mechanical engineering knowledge for multi‑skilled maintenance tasks.
