About the role

The Terrace Boulud restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is seeking a personable Host/Hostess to welcome guests, manage seating, and support the dining team. This role is integral to delivering the hotel’s renowned luxury service and creating a memorable first impression for diners.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and bid farewell to guests with a warm, professional demeanor.
• Handle restaurant reservations, enquiries, and allocate tables according to seating plans.
• Maintain and update daily records, statistics, and relevant correspondence.
• Perform administrative tasks such as typing menus, drafting letters, and preparing confirmation facsimiles.
• Assist wait staff with specific duties during service as needed.

Required profile

• Formal hospitality or related training from VTC, IVE, or a technical institute.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a restaurant or hotel setting.
• Friendly appearance and the ability to interact courteously with guests.
• Professional attitude, integrity, and a collaborative team spirit.

Required skills

• Reservation handling and seating plan management.
• Basic administrative and typing proficiency.
