People & Culture Officer - Colleague Engagement

About the role

The People & Culture Officer – Colleague Engagement will shape internal culture at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, you will lead engagement initiatives, internal communications, and creative projects that celebrate the #MOfamily.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute colleague engagement activities such as seasonal celebrations, recognition events and wellness programmes.
• Support the organisation of the annual Colleague Party and other milestone celebrations.
• Manage internal communication channels (Beekeeper, noticeboards, email campaigns) to deliver timely and engaging updates.
• Draft internal memos, digital newsletters and campaign copy in English, Traditional Chinese and Mandarin.
• Maintain accurate records of engagement activities, budgets and event logistics.
• Coordinate vendor liaison, venue setup and on‑site logistics for internal events.
• Assist the People & Culture team with ad‑hoc projects and administrative tasks as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in event planning, employee engagement or related functions.
