Project Manager – LED Display Delivery (Hong Kong)

About the role
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale LED display projects in Hong Kong, from contract handover through installation, commissioning and final acceptance. As Key Personnel on the main contract you will own delivery performance, contract execution, HSE compliance and client satisfaction while coordinating with the Shenzhen headquarters and on‑site subcontractors.
Key responsibilities
- Contract & Commercial – manage the main supply‑and‑install contract and sub‑contracts, handle variations, progress claims, performance bonds, insurance and back‑to‑back terms, and escalate issues as required.
- Planning & Schedule – build the master schedule, maintain rolling weekly/monthly plans, track FAT and shipment batches, flag key‑date risks 21 days in advance and monitor site handover, rigging windows and permits.
- Design & Technical Interface – coordinate submittals, work with AP/RSE/MEP consultants on display positions, structural loads and power capacity, lead BIM coordination and manage RFI/TQ with a 7‑day SLA.
- Production & Logistics – align production schedules with the HQ, attend FAT, review Shenzhen‑Hong Kong transport and customs plans, minimise demurrage and plan on‑site warehousing.
- Site Installation & Subcontractors – lead pre‑handover inspections, approve rigging methods and traffic arrangements, obtain highways and police permits, manage installation subcontractors and night‑work permits, ensure noise compliance.
- Quality & HSE – execute the Inspection Test Plan, lead Site Acceptance Testing (lighting, uniformity, dead‑pixel, thermal drift, burn‑in), maintain snag lists, implement safety‑in‑place procedures, conduct daily patrols and weekly toolbox talks, and report injuries within 24 hours.
- Handover & Leadership – conduct final acceptance, train the client O&M team, hand over as‑built documentation, manage the defect‑liability period and supervise direct reports, issuing regular progress reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, MEP or a related field.
- HKID holder eligible for full‑time employment in Hong Kong.
- 20+ years of construction management experience, including at least two projects valued over HK$5 M delivered as Project Manager.
- 10+ years of Hong Kong project experience with knowledge of the Buildings Ordinance, Electricity Ordinance and Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance.
- Fluent Cantonese (site), working English (meetings, technical documents) and Mandarin (communication with Shenzhen HQ).
