Senior/Staff Accountant – Risk & Regulatory Assurance (Hong Kong)

About the role

EY’s Risk and Regulatory Assurance team within the Assurance – Financial Services organisation is expanding rapidly in Hong Kong. The team delivers independent reviews, internal control assurance and regulatory filing services for banks, capital markets and wealth management firms.

Key responsibilities

• Own work streams on engagements and coordinate day‑to‑day client communication.
• Conduct reviews and prepare reports following EY methodology, presenting findings to client management.
• Identify impacts of upcoming regulatory changes and advise clients on remediation.
• Test key systems and controls to demonstrate compliance with HKMA and SFC regulations.
• Support clients in building holistic governance and risk‑management frameworks.
• Contribute to business development activities such as proposal writing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business Management or related field.
• Professional qualifications (CPA, FRM, CFA) are preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of audit or risk‑advisory experience in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of Banking, Capital Markets or Wealth Management regulatory environment in Hong Kong/Greater China.
• Experience with HKMA or SFC requirements and regulatory projects.
