Technical Operations Manager – Third‑Party Data Centers

About the role

Google is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to lead the operation of third‑party data center facilities. You will work closely with Google’s data center engineering, hardware operations, network infrastructure teams and external vendors to ensure the operability, maintainability and reliability of electrical, cooling and IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee technical leads and teams to complete maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks that meet global standards.
• Communicate progress and strategic decisions to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Provide technical expertise during incidents, coordinate critical activity planning and respond to alarms in line with contractual obligations.
• Support risk‑management processes by escalating findings, raising business awareness and proposing mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree, trade‑school certification, or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• At least 9 years of experience in operations and facilities management, including critical facility operations.
• Fluent English communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in data‑center environments, global initiative execution, operational assessment, risk analysis and resource forecasting.
