Vice President, Structured Finance Credit Risk Management, Asia Pacific

About the role

Responsible for independent credit risk admission and ongoing risk monitoring of structured finance transactions for Corporate & Investment Banking clients across the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent credit and risk assessment of structured finance transactions, analysing structure, stakeholders, contractual arrangements, financial capability, cash flows, collateral and stress scenarios.
• Assign and review transaction and corporate ratings using internal methodologies and present recommendations to rating committees.
• Monitor portfolio credit quality through periodic reviews of financial performance, risk metrics, covenant compliance and material developments.
• Engage with clients, sponsors, advisors, legal counsel and internal stakeholders to provide independent risk challenge and ensure adherence to the bank’s risk appetite and governance standards.

Required profile

• University degree; CPA or CFA qualifications are a plus.
• At least 5 years of relevant credit risk, structured finance or credit assessment experience, preferably in corporate & investment banking or a comparable financial institution.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency is advantageous.
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.

Required skills

• Strong financial analysis and credit assessment capabilities.
• Financial modelling experience (advantageous).
