Solutions Architect – Functional & Application Architecture

About the role

The Solutions Architect will serve as the functional and application architect for the Asia‑Pacific region, translating business objectives into concrete IT solutions and ensuring alignment with strategic road‑maps and design principles.

Key responsibilities

• Drive IT demand management with business sponsors and IT stakeholders.
• Coordinate functional and technical architecture studies to launch new projects.
• Ensure projects follow the strategic roadmap and North Star Design Architectural Principles.
• Support development teams throughout the application lifecycle and act as the single point of contact for transformation initiatives.
• Maintain and gatekeep architecture standards, blueprints, and application recertification for the region.
• Identify, promote and share best practices in functional and application architecture.
• Review and validate architectural functional and technical aspects of initiatives.
• Build and present project studies in design authority forums.
• Gather business requirements, perform in‑depth analysis and propose solutions.

Required profile

• Strong functional and/or technical background with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Proven experience in technology projects, especially in architecture, design, build, support or analysis of global enterprise systems (pre‑trade, post‑trade, end‑to‑end).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both business and technical audiences.
• Ability to quickly learn new environments and work directly with internal users to capture specifications.
• Experience collaborating with global delivery teams and partnering closely with developers.
• Team‑player mindset with a track record of coaching and growing team members.
• Familiarity with Agile, Test‑Driven Development and continuous delivery practices.
• Comfortable working in a multicultural, regional setting and possessing strong organizational and analytical abilities.
