Application Architect, Java

About the role

OKX is seeking an Application Architect specialized in Java to lead the stability and architectural design of its high‑traffic crypto services. You will work within the Service Stability Engineering Team, focusing on non‑functional aspects and proactive risk management. The role combines deep technical expertise with the ability to guide cross‑functional teams toward robust, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee non‑functional aspects of business lines, collaborate with units to ensure service stability, identify risks through data analysis, and address root‑cause issues proactively.
• Explore emerging technologies, tools, and architectural patterns, and champion best‑practice implementation across application architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years of development and architecture experience.
• Proficiency in Java and hands‑on experience with the Spring Cloud micro‑services stack, solid CS fundamentals, and understanding of Linux, storage, and network I/O.
• Experience designing high‑concurrency distributed systems or components, with knowledge of Java concurrency libraries.
• Familiarity with core middleware such as Nginx, Redis, ElasticSearch, Kafka, MySQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong methodology for architectural design and ability to rationalize designs for new business lines, providing optimization suggestions.
