Account Analyst, HK Institutional

About the role

PIMCO, a global leader in active fixed income investing, is hiring an Account Analyst for its Hong Kong institutional team. The role focuses on institutional client service and business development, and is based in Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client reports accurately and efficiently covering performance, trading activity, portfolio valuation and risk metrics.
• Analyse portfolio data, including qualitative and quantitative performance attribution.
• Handle ongoing automation of growing reporting requirements and streamline the reporting process.
• Use tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and macros; intermediate Python is a plus.
• Keep up with macroeconomics and market factors to support complex investment analysis.
• Support the Account Management team by providing market and portfolio data, working with fund administration, operations and compliance teams.
• Help identify new business opportunities (investors, asset pools, channels), support marketing and sales campaigns, and prepare final presentations and closings.
• Respond to client queries and build strong client relationships over time.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 0-1 years of finance-relevant experience; collegiate team player comfortable in an international environment.
• Understanding of economics, capital markets and investment concepts.
• Strong written and spoken Cantonese and English.
• Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and integrity.
• Progress towards a regulatory certificate in the relevant jurisdiction and preparation for the CFA designation.
