AI Developer – Join a leading insurance AI lab

About the role

Intact Lab’s new AI R&D centre in Hong Kong is looking for an AI Developer I to help build world‑class insurance AI solutions. You will work alongside data scientists, actuaries and engineers to turn advanced models into production‑ready software.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with data scientists to embed machine‑learning models and advanced statistics into customer‑focused applications.
• Navigate ambiguous requirements, propose clear design trade‑offs and advocate for robust solutions.
• Explore emerging technologies to improve developer experience and engineering processes.
• Create, test and deploy efficient, well‑designed code.
• Collaborate with teams in Hong Kong and Canada to share knowledge, tools and results.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python (or another programming language) and experience in software development.
• Familiarity with software‑engineering practices such as design patterns, development lifecycle, Git, Jira and Confluence.
• Strong curiosity, collaborative mindset and ability to tackle vaguely defined problems.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and organizational skills.
• If you lack direct AI experience, a strong motivation to learn is required.
