Analyst, APAC Relationship Management (Hong Kong and Southeast Asia)

About the role

This position is part of the APAC Relationship Management team and supports investor relations, client servicing and investor operations for institutional clients and prospects in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia. Working closely with senior Relationship Managers, the Analyst plays a key role in client engagement, CRM management, investor reporting, due diligence, market research and internal coordination to support fundraising and deliver a high-quality client experience. The role initially focuses on investor operations and client servicing, with the opportunity to develop into a junior Relationship Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Track all meetings with investors and prospects, maintain Salesforce records, distribute meeting and conference notes and manage related organisational tasks
• Take part in client meetings and track investor feedback across Ares strategies and funds
• Stay informed of portfolio developments, fund performance and fundraising initiatives through regular contact with investment professionals and product managers
• Support senior Relationship Managers by answering investor inquiries and coordinating data requests
• Take part in internal meetings, including the Global Relationship Management Call and APAC Relationship Management team meetings
• Maintain and update client and prospect databases, covering Ares strategies accurately
• Support investor due diligence by coordinating requests and preparing marketing and reporting materials
• Carry out market and competitive research, monitoring industry trends and spotting client opportunities
• Assist with client reporting, investor communications and other client servicing activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in asset management, private markets, investor relations, institutional client servicing, investment banking or a related financial services environment
• Knowledge of alternative investment products, corporate finance or accounting
• Interest in a long-term career in investor relations and institutional relationship management

Required skills

• Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office
• Salesforce or CRM experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organised, able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
