Analyst (Assistant Relationship Manager), Japanese Corporate Banking

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Analyst (Assistant Relationship Manager) for its Japanese Corporate Banking Division. The role provides administrative and operational support to relationship managers so that client relationships can be developed and managed effectively. It suits fresh graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in delivering banking services to customers in its own coverage area to help meet revenue targets.
• Follow up client documents and contact or visit customers to assist with business promotion and operational issues.
• Work with Compliance, Head Office, Credit Middle and Operations to ensure smooth processing of transactions.
• Support more experienced colleagues with administrative and operational activities to maintain customer relationships.
• Carry out preliminary data analysis of financial statements, company profiles and risk positions to identify patterns and trends.
• Assist in preparing deal proposals, credit applications and reports in line with internal credit rules and procedures.
• Conduct customer due diligence, including KYC, FATCA and CRS, and gather information for credit monitoring and compliance checks.
• Lead, manage or coordinate PDCA activities and arrange PDCA and RM meetings to report progress and share customer insights.
• Develop awareness of compliance rules and stay informed on industry trends, products and relevant laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Degree qualified; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Good command of English and Cantonese; Japanese is a plus.
• Ability to influence others using data or analysis, and good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-initiative, willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
