APAC Tax Lead – 6‑12 Month Contract

About the role

Binance is seeking an experienced tax professional to lead all tax matters across the Asia‑Pacific region on a 6‑12 month contract basis. You will act as the primary point of contact for tax compliance, advisory, and strategy, supporting the rapid growth of our blockchain ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main liaison for all regional tax issues, coordinating with local teams and external advisors.
• Ensure high‑quality tax compliance for direct, indirect, corporate, and personal taxes.
• Provide internal tax advice on transaction structuring, contractual arrangements, and new product launches.
• Identify and implement tax optimisation opportunities in alignment with global tax strategy.
• Manage relationships, queries, audits, disputes, and litigation with APAC tax authorities.
• Monitor evolving tax legislation, including crypto‑related regulations.
• Lead ad‑hoc tax projects specific to the APAC market.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Economics, or Taxation.
• Minimum 12 years of tax experience, preferably from a Big 4 firm or in‑house role.
• Proven track record as a tax leader in the APAC region, focused on operations and compliance.
• Fast learner, highly adaptable to a fast‑paced environment, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
• Hands‑on, proactive attitude with strong teamwork capabilities.
