Assistant Engineer – Maintenance Control Support

About the role

HK Express is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join its Maintenance Control Support Group. You will work closely with the MCC Controller to ensure the fleet’s technical health, minimise operational disruptions and support maintenance activities across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the MCC Controller in monitoring and controlling fleet technical status.
• Maintain liaison with local and outstation maintenance service providers for ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot aircraft defects and develop rectification plans.
• Provide on‑site technical support during TD/AOG situations to minimise disruption.
• Coordinate emergency notifications and arrange fleet‑wide surveys or inspections when required.
• Oversee deferred defect levels and ensure compliance with ADD/CADD/repetitive defect timelines.
• Identify emerging reliability issues and work with Technical Services for timely mitigation.
• Plan, forecast and schedule AMS tasks within a 7‑day window, controlling minor check compliance.
• Coordinate workload, overnight work plans and ensure parts, tools and manpower are available.
• Lead daily meetings with LM, MROs and planning teams on critical tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, technical support or related aviation roles.
• Strong understanding of fleet technical status monitoring and defect management.
• Ability to work under pressure during TD/AOG events.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
