Assistant Foreman

About the role

The Assistant Foreman will support the engineering team of a 5‑star hotel, ensuring that all mechanical, electrical and building services operate smoothly. This on‑site role involves daily inspections, coordination of maintenance activities and rapid response to breakdowns to maintain guest comfort across all public and back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily checks and log the condition of air‑conditioning, electrical and other M&E plant equipment.
• Issue work orders, allocate tasks to senior technicians and technicians, and monitor timely completion.
• Provide front‑line troubleshooting and emergency support for any service interruptions.
• Oversee painting, carpentry and general maintenance works as required.
• Maintain accurate records, inventories, reports and filing systems.
• Work shift duties, including night and weekend coverage, to ensure continuous service.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the hotel industry.
• Registered Electrical Worker (Grade A or B) certification and CISTC (Green Card) qualification.
• Fluent in Cantonese; basic English and Mandarin are advantageous.
• Responsible, reliable, proactive and able to lead a small team.
