Assistant Manager – Charities Event Administration

About the role

The role supports the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust by executing stakeholder engagement plans and delivering signature events that enhance the Trust’s profile and impact. You will work closely with senior team members to deepen relationships with community leaders, grantees and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in outreach to senior members, community leaders and grantees as part of the stakeholder engagement plan.
• Plan and deliver signature events such as the Philanthropy for Better Cities Forum, Community Day and Charities Spring Luncheon.
• Handle publicity and acknowledgement matters for grantees and project partners across all Business‑as‑Usual and Trust‑Initiated Projects.
• Liaise with Charities Programme Teams and internal stakeholders to implement engagement strategies.
• Coordinate logistics, prepare materials, monitor risks and escalate issues for smooth event execution.
• Support budget tracking, procurement processes and daily operational tasks to ensure effective resource use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of experience in event management, customer relations or marketing communications.
• Proven ability to coordinate event logistics and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the social‑welfare sector, community services or philanthropy is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.
