Assistant Vice President, Global Markets Operations

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Assistant Vice President for Global Markets Operations in Hong Kong. The role underpins the effective functioning of the global market operations team, overseeing daily Forex and Money Market processes and supporting the Team Lead in routine settlement supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational duties as a checker, ensuring transaction processing, confirmations and payments are accurate and timely.
• Support the Team Lead in monitoring Deal Booking Control, Fund Settlement, Financial Booking and Post-Deal Control.
• Assist in supervising routine global market settlement work, adhering to internal strategies, overseas unit policies, circulars, AML guidelines and compliance protocols.
• Review and improve operational procedures with the Team Lead to boost efficiency.
• Follow standard operating procedures to comply with local, Japanese and foreign regulations, including AML, DFA and HKMA-RMS.
• Prepare ad-hoc reports or join special projects as assigned by the Department Head or Team Lead.
• Ensure strict adherence to Service Legal Agreements and provide reliable support to keep processes meeting required standards.

Required profile

• Tertiary education or above.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in global market functions.
• Proven experience in global market operations or similar roles, with a strong sense of regulatory compliance.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English.

Required skills

• Comprehensive understanding of global market products and up-to-date knowledge of AML requirements.
• Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
