Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit

About the role

The Shangri-La Group is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit to lead risk‑based audit activities across its global portfolio of hotels and resorts. Reporting to the Group Internal Audit Department, you will work with senior stakeholders to ensure robust governance, risk management and control frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk‑based annual audit plan aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives and Integrated Assurance Framework.
• Supervise budgeting, audit program preparation and resource allocation for audit scheduling.
• Lead and oversee audit engagements, special projects and the preparation of audit reports.
• Manage internal and external audit teams to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality audit work.
• Assess the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls and governance systems, ensuring compliance with GIA policies and professional standards.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, preferably within a large, multi‑entity organization.
• Strong understanding of risk‑based audit methodologies and integrated assurance frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams and manage stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report‑writing skills.
