Associate – Business Tax (Macau)

About the role

Deloitte China is seeking an Associate to join its Business Tax practice in Macau. You will support clients with tax compliance, research, and advisory services while developing a solid foundation in global tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of current tax legislation across the Global Tax and Business Advisory function.
• Collect, assimilate, and analyse client data using standard tools and processes.
• Conduct research on tax regimes in local and international jurisdictions.
• Prepare draft client reports, tax provisions, and tax audit/appeal documentation under senior guidance.
• Apply basic technical tax knowledge throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax, accounting, finance, law or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting qualification, registered tax agent status, or lawyer qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant tax experience (Big 4, law firm, tax authority or large corporation preferred).
• Strong analytical ability, commitment to quality client service, and willingness to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Readiness to travel as required.
