Associate Counsel, Product & Commercial, APAC

About the role

Uber is looking for an experienced Associate Counsel to join its APAC Product & Commercial legal team. Based in Hong Kong (or Taiwan), you will provide fast‑moving commercial counsel for new Mobility and Delivery products across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal reviews of new product launches, translating complex regulations into actionable advice.
• Project‑manage multi‑jurisdictional roll‑outs, representing legal interests in UX and product strategy.
• Drive AI implementation and workflow automation in partnership with global teams.
• Draft, negotiate and oversee multi‑region commercial contracts and their in‑app implementation.
• Act as a liaison between cross‑functional departments and APAC markets to deliver business‑focused solutions.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of post‑qualification legal experience at a top law firm or in‑house, preferably in a tech environment.
• Law degree from a top (common‑law) school.
• Proven track record in product counseling, AI implementation and project management.
• Experience working across multiple APAC jurisdictions with international stakeholders.
