Associate Director / Director, HRBP North Asia

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 60 countries, is looking for an Associate Director / Director, HRBP for North Asia. You will act as the Business Partner lead and adviser for North Asia, driving talent strategies and HR services that support business performance and growth. The role sits in the HR Strategy and Operations function, which designs, executes and monitors HR programmes and policies, and covers Greater China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the department responsible for employee human relations, providing formal supervision, monitoring training and development, conducting performance evaluations and coaching, and interpreting company policies such as employee relations, performance management and succession planning.
• Create and deliver the HR plan for the business segment, including job-ready talent supply, leadership succession and retention strategies, and support business development through expert advice and new client transitions.
• Partner with COEs and country HRBPs to ensure HR services meet business needs and solve problems on talent and HR initiatives.
• Establish HR governance frameworks, including structure, risk management and HR compliance, and provide responsive service support in countries of leadership responsibility.
• Work with the HR Shared Services team to improve processes and efficiency, and build trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders, including leading HR aspects of RFPs and client pitches.
• Drive engagement and diversity plans, optimise compensation and benefits, and lead talent management and succession planning for key leadership.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of HRBP experience, ideally from a multinational corporation.
• Experience in the energy or construction-related industry is an advantage.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
