Associate Director - Project Management (South China Projects)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an Associate Director of Project Management to lead the delivery of complex construction and workplace projects from inception to completion across its client's South China portfolio. Based in Hong Kong, the role covers strategic planning, stakeholder management, governance and execution, portfolio oversight, team development and business growth, and includes managing the invoicing process via Dynamics 365.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, acting as the main client contact
• Define project strategy, KPIs and governance frameworks for quality, safety, compliance, risk and environmental management
• Run project controls for schedule, cost, risk and change, and prepare executive-level reporting and dashboards
• Lead end-to-end procurement, from tender strategy to vendor selection
• Monitor budgets and financial performance, support commercial negotiations and contract administration, and manage invoicing in D365
• Inspect sites regularly, manage permitting and statutory submissions, and resolve construction issues with contractors and consultants
• Contribute to business development, including proposals, client presentations and market engagement
• Plan resources across projects and forecast resource needs with cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Construction-related degree (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering) or equivalent
• At least 10 years' experience in project management or construction projects
• Strong communication and leadership skills with people management experience
• Experience in client-facing environments, including value management, value engineering and life cycle costing
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
