Associate / Senior Associate - Private Tax - People & Organization

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic finance and accounting professional to join our Personal Tax Compliance practice. The role involves advising high‑net‑worth individuals on income tax, wealth transfer, international tax and related compliance matters, while supporting senior managers and partners across client service and internal initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage a portfolio of high‑net‑worth clients, reporting to managers and senior leaders.
• Provide financial management and tax compliance services, including income tax planning, estate and gift tax, real‑property structuring and executive compensation consulting.
• Participate in business development activities to promote the IPC brand internally and externally and help develop a service playbook for Asian HNWIs.
• Contribute to the technical and emotional intelligence development of the team.
• Network with peers and stakeholders across Hong Kong, China and the broader Asian region.
• Adapt to regional culture to remain a relevant advisor.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant tax experience; junior candidates may be considered for the Associate level.
• Proven experience advising high‑net‑worth individuals on individual income tax, wealth transfer, international tax planning and tax return compliance.
• Ability to assess tax implications of corporate operations and transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Understanding of corporate tax research, compliance and consulting in an international environment.
• Experience with cross‑border executive tax planning, expatriate issues and multi‑country tax analysis.
• Strong research, writing and consulting skills on international tax matters.
• Team‑player attitude with a focus on identifying and addressing client needs.
