About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking an Associate/Engagement Manager to support its Banking & Financial Services practice in Hong Kong. The role involves breaking down complex business problems, guiding junior consultants, and delivering high‑impact recommendations to top financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Break down complex business problems into clear workstreams and tasks.
• Identify critical drivers of a problem and guide junior consultants.
• Plan and execute rigorous analyses, ensuring quality and speed of delivery.
• Diagnose core issues and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Work closely with clients and project team members to advance work daily.
• Manage small teams, coordinating priorities, timelines, and deliverables.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of relevant Financial Services experience, preferably from a top‑tier strategy consulting firm or in‑house strategy department.
• In‑depth knowledge of the financial services sector.
• Strong analytical and synthesis abilities.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to travel.
