Associate/VP Global Markets Sales – Asia Pacific

About the role

Santander is expanding its fixed‑income franchise in Asia and seeks a highly‑motivated institutional sales professional to lead growth in Hong Kong. You will act as a trusted partner to local institutional investors, promoting the firm’s global fixed‑income capabilities and identifying investment opportunities that match client objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with Hong Kong‑based institutional investors, including banks, asset managers, securities firms, insurers and official institutions.
• Provide timely market insights, updates, and risk‑management advice aligned with client investment goals.
• Market and distribute Santander’s fixed‑income products, strategies and solutions.
• Collaborate with Trading, Structuring, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams to achieve financial targets.
• Ensure adherence to internal compliance policies and risk‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• 6‑10 years of experience in Global Markets, Fixed Income or Institutional Sales; more experience may qualify for a Vice President level.
• Strong knowledge of global markets, especially FX, rates and credit.
• Established relationships with Hong Kong institutional investors are a plus.
• Excellent client‑management, communication and business‑development abilities.
• Team player with solid commercial acumen and regulatory awareness.
• Native Cantonese speaker, fluent in English and Mandarin.
