AVP/VP - Finance

About the role

This senior finance position is responsible for delivering accurate management reporting, overseeing the firm’s expense claim process, and supporting the Finance Director with a range of financial reporting activities, including investment accounting and group consolidation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, management reports and perform variance analysis.
• Validate expense claims by checking invoices and supporting documents against policy requirements.
• Assist the Finance Director with investment accounting and valuation for bonds, equities, TRS, structured notes, funds, etc.
• Support group consolidation and head‑office reporting (including Chinese language reports).
• Manage external audit processes and the preparation of financial statements.
• Undertake ad‑hoc financial tasks as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial industry.
• Experience in management reporting and familiarity with accounting standards.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity and ability to work well in a team.
• Good written Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
