Banquet Captain – Hong Kong

About the role

The Banquet Captain leads the banquet service team at Le Méridien Hong Kong, ensuring every guest experience is memorable and aligned with the brand’s European-inspired hospitality standards. This full‑time, onsite position coordinates all aspects of banquet operations from set‑up to service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the set‑up, service, and breakdown of all banquet events.
• Lead and motivate banquet staff, assigning duties and ensuring smooth execution.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen, bar, and sales teams to meet guest expectations.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and service quality.
• Handle guest inquiries and special requests promptly and professionally.
• Train new team members on service procedures and brand standards.
• Monitor inventory of banquet supplies and manage cost controls.

Required profile

• Proven experience in banquet or event service, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
