Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer - Transportation Infrastructure

Egis, a global organisation in architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services, is looking for a Chartered Civil & Structural Engineer to join its expanding Hong Kong transportation and infrastructure team. The role suits someone who enjoys technical excellence, client engagement and helping grow both people and business, taking ownership of project delivery while working with local and international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural engineering design and project delivery.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with specialist disciplines.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions for transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, calculations, specifications and submissions.
• Interface with clients, government authorities and project stakeholders.
• Support business development, bids and client relationship management.
• Mentor and develop graduate and intermediate engineers.
• Maintain technical excellence and quality assurance standards.
• Contribute to the growth and strategic development of the Hong Kong business.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status (MHKIE, MICE, MIStructE or equivalent).
• Typically 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience delivering transportation, rail, highway or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong engineering practices and approval processes.
• Commercial awareness and client-facing experience.
• Ability to lead, mentor and inspire project teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.
