Community Engagement & Education Manager (11‑month contract)

About the role

The Urban Renewal Authority seeks a dynamic Manager to lead community engagement and education initiatives for an 11‑month contract. This role will drive strategic goals, foster continuous community support, and ensure smooth implementation of urban renewal projects across Hong Kong.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute community engagement activities and outreach programmes that align with the Authority’s strategic objectives.
• Supervise and monitor sub‑ordinates to guarantee successful delivery of work programmes, action plans and assigned tasks.
• Prepare stakeholder communication materials and manage social media content to support engagement initiatives.
• Monitor local political developments and community dynamics, providing insights and recommendations for strategic planning.
• Establish, maintain, and expand networks with government officials, legislative members, district council members, community leaders and interest groups.
• Leverage Generative AI tools and digital solutions to enhance engagement processes, content creation and stakeholder interactions.

Required profile

• Degree in communication, public administration or a related field.
• Minimum eight years of full‑time experience in community engagement, district administration or public policy roles.
• Proven track record in planning and managing projects or community programmes with measurable outcomes.
• Extensive stakeholder networks and ability to develop new partnerships beneficial to urban renewal initiatives.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese; Putonghua is an advantage.
