Construction Manager – MEP (15‑month Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Manager (or Senior Construction Manager) with strong MEP expertise to lead a 15‑month contract at Hong Kong Science Park. You will support the Project Director and Associate Construction Director in delivering large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary capital works on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director and Associate Construction Director in managing development and capital works projects.
• Coordinate with project team leaders, uphold project management frameworks, and ensure timely delivery.
• Vet MEP submissions from consultants or contractors and handle emergency cases outside office hours.
• Drive, monitor, and report on project delivery progress throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify risks, conduct ongoing risk assessments, and implement mitigation plans.
• Supervise consultants, resident site staff, and contractors; prepare site progress, quality, and safety reports.
• Act as the primary on‑site point of contact, communicating status to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with government departments, utility companies, and external contractors.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10–12 years of relevant experience preferred; candidates with less experience may be considered for the Construction Manager role.
• Experience in MEP design, cleanroom design, and managing large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary projects.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong statutory requirements and construction procedures.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
