Cyber Security Specialist – APAC Detection & Incident Response

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to strengthen detection capabilities across the APAC region and contribute to the global use‑case development team. The role focuses on enhancing SIEM and SOAR platforms, leading incident response activities and ensuring a robust security detection posture.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enrich security use cases based on real‑world attack scenarios and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
• Oversee detection capabilities for the 24/7 regional IT Production SOC handling APAC security alerts.
• Collaborate with the APAC Business CSIRT to integrate security monitoring and incident handling.
• Respond to cyber and IT security incidents, assess severity and drive remediation.
• Continuously improve SOC processes, policies and operational playbooks.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks.
• Participate in audit interviews and provide required evidence.
• Conduct threat hunting and R&D activities to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in information security.
• Proven experience in security use‑case design and development.
• Strong understanding of incident response, anti‑malware and security detection.
• Ability to work autonomously and lead technical activities within a SOC environment.

• Java programming language.
• Linux operating systems (RedHat, Ubuntu).
• SIEM and SOAR platforms.
• MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Security log analysis and threat modeling.
• SecOps/DevOps mindset.
