Director, Strategic Investments

About the role

As Director, Strategic Investments at Meitu, you will lead the evaluation, execution and ongoing management of strategic investments across the company’s global business. The role combines rigorous financial analysis with hands‑on portfolio oversight and requires independent judgment on deal valuation, structure and terms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct valuation and comparable‑company analysis, form independent pricing views and present recommendations to senior leadership.
• Assess transaction terms, including economics, governance, control rights and exit provisions, and advise on walk‑away decisions.
• Lead commercial and financial due diligence, coordinating legal, tax, accounting and other advisors.
• Structure and negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements, working closely with Legal and Finance to drive transactions to closing.
• Own the post‑closing portfolio, monitoring performance, reporting, and managing follow‑on investments, restructurings or exits.
• Maintain relationships with founders and management teams of portfolio companies and facilitate strategic collaborations within Meitu.
• Prepare valuation and investment documentation required for financial reporting and public‑company disclosure.

Required profile

• 7–12 years of experience in corporate development, strategic investments, private equity, venture capital, investment banking or a related field.
• Proven ability to make independent investment judgments and to influence senior executives.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial modeling, valuation and transaction structuring.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
