Dispute Resolution - Associate

About the role

Our Dispute Resolution team advises and represents clients on a wide range of contentious matters across construction, infrastructure, commercial, banking, finance, insolvency, competition and employment sectors. As an Associate you will work on mediation, arbitration, litigation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution, supporting senior partners and collaborating with junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of disputes, providing strategic advice and overseeing case progress.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, arbitration statements and settlement agreements.
• Participate in mediation, arbitration hearings and court proceedings.
• Collaborate closely with partners, senior associates and junior team members to deliver high‑quality client service.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely, professional delivery of legal solutions.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in construction or commercial litigation and arbitration, preferably in an international law firm.
• Demonstrated technical excellence and ability to manage complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters.
• Team‑player with strong communication skills and the capacity to work effectively with partners and juniors.
• Proactive approach to providing robust, strategic legal advice.

Required skills

• Fluency in English (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in spoken Mandarin or Cantonese and written Chinese.
