Electrical Systems Specialist

About the role

AirTrunk is seeking an Electrical Systems Specialist to join its Hong Kong data centre sites. Reporting to the Associate Director – Electrical Systems, you will work closely with DC Operations and Development teams to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant high‑voltage and low‑voltage infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑voltage (11 kV) switching operations across all Hong Kong sites and ensure safe execution.
• Develop, review, and author Method of Procedures (MOPs) for both medium‑voltage (MV) and low‑voltage (LV) electrical integration works.
• Maintain and inspect high‑voltage and low‑voltage switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and busways.
• Provide technical support to the operations team for LV equipment and assist the commissioning team with electrical apparatus.
• Participate in factory witness testing and design reviews for new projects.
• Support the Safety team during incident investigations by supplying technical expertise.

Required profile

• Proven experience in high‑voltage switching and MV/LV equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong statutory electrical codes.
• Ability to produce and peer‑review detailed MOPs.
• Hands‑on experience with generators, UPS, busways, and transformer systems.
• Technical mentorship skills for safety and incident investigations.
